We perform a couple types of wax removal at Kirkyz Acoustix.
If there is some wax in your ears that can be cleaned out with our lighted curettes, then it should be no problem to remove and ensure your ears are clean for the hearing test battery.
If your ears are fully occluded with wax, then we will do our best to remove it with out curettes but if that does not work then we will have to try flushing your ears out.
Usually, those two combined together do the trick but if it has been impacted for a while and is dark black in colour, we will have you go home and put any type of cooking oil in your ears for
3 – 5 days to help soften it up so it is easier to flush out.
