Hearing Aid Adjustments

Hearing aid adjustments are very easy to do or can be very tricky depending on what the client needs and what listening environments they are in.

Usually being fit with a hearing aid the first time we keep the hearing aid at a low volume allowing you to get used to it with out blowing out your ear drums. This allows you to hear better than you have just not as good as you should yet…. Then what happens is you come back and see us at this beautiful place, and we get to know you even better with small little adjustments to help you get used to the sounds you haven’t heard in a while.

Most of the time when you put a hearing aid on for the first time you will find it “tinny” or like you are” hearing in a barrel” so these small little adjustments ease the pain a little getting used to a hearing aid. Once we get you to were you need to be then we can start adding different programs into the hearing aids and showing you how to change them and work them and what they are used for.

Sometimes at Kirkyz Acoustix we are pretty nice and will give you volume control, but you have to earn it first. We treat you like part of the family here and when you come in, we want it to feel like home but it doesn’t have the home cooking smell, it usually smells freshly cleaned but I will keep it in mind if more people want that smell, there is probably some candles out there that do the trick.
